Bei Robert war ich seinerzeit auf das Plugin “Kill Preview” gestoßen, mit dem der nervige Preview-Iframe im Editiermodus von WordPress entfernt werden konnte. Als Ersatz wurde ein Link eingeblendet, der die Vorschauseite in einem neuem Fenster (oder Browser-Tab) öffnet. Leider funktioniert das Plugin nicht mit WordPress 2.1, deswegen habe ich das Plugin mal angepasst und die ergänzte Version bleibt euch natürlich nicht vorenthalten. Das Plugin funktioniert mit WP 2.0.X und 2.1.

Development of this Plugin will not be continued. This function is included in WordPress since version 2.2! 

The plugin Kill Preview 2 removes the post preview iframe from the post/page writing screen and adds a preview link.

Just drop the plugin file into your plugin directory and activate it. The preview iframe in the post/page writing screen will now be removed to load this page faster. Additionally there will be a link to the preview in the upper right corner of the screen, which opens a new window to the preview of the edited post/page.

The plugin is based on the Kill Preview plugin by Owen Winkler, that did not work with WordPress 2.1. This version does ;)

The blank page issue is solved now with version 2.1!
